Northside Science Fair
Date: March 22, 2003
Location: Tomball (Houston)
Tomball Community College, Tomball
8am - 3:30pm
Open to all homeschoolers K-12 in the greater Houston area.
Our 7th annual fair is set for Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Tomball
College in Tomball. The fair is a vision given to us to help students
learn more about God through studying science, then providing a forum to
communicate what they have learned about His creation. This fair greatly
ministers to the students that participate, and to the men who judge.
Malachi 4:6 is the scripture that lead us to select dads to be judges.
We truly want student's projects prepared from their desire to learn and
pass on what they have discovered about God's creation through their
investigation and research. We are NOT looking for the student who can
dazzle the judges with pizzazz, or who has the best computer generated
project, or who has a "boardroom ready" exhibit. We ARE looking for
learning and knowledge gained through truly applying oneself, and for
students that have done their best handiwork, and projects that look
like the student prepaired them. Our goal is for each student to truly
gain new insight into the world that God had created.
Registration deadline is February 28th, 2003
Please go to our ICARE website:
http://icare.aspect.net/
There is a brief explanation about our fair and you can download our registration
packet, which includes our fair rules and registration form. The cost is $6 per student.
For further information or to request a registration package email Karen Garza at:
icare-kg@wt.net
Please note that all participants are eligible to continue on to the state level fair
on April 11-12, which is hosted by Texas Home School Project Fair. The registration
deadline is March 10th and there is a form that Northside Science Fair will have
to fill out to accompany your registration. To obtain additional information
about this state level fair please visit:
